Wild lettuce is known for having mild sedative and pain-relieving properties, due to a milky substance called lactucarium which is found in the leaves and stem of the plant.

Our organic Lactuca virosa is certified organic by Quality Assurance International, which follows the guidelines for organic certification as put forth by the United States Department of Agriculture and the National Organic Program. It is also certified kosher.
