The essential oil is used externally for burns and wounds. Lavender has been shown to improve wound healing. Lavender is used as an olfactory herb for its calming and relieving effects. The herb has also been shown to be beneficial for anxiety & stress when used internally. Lavender is additionally a useful aid in insomnia and depression.
